Common warning signs

Be careful with messages that ask for banking passwords, card PINs, remote access apps, release fees, courier fees or urgent payment before a prize can be delivered.

Poor spelling is not the only red flag. Some fake messages copy real brand names and use convincing logos or screenshots.

How to verify a prize claim

Check the competition terms for winner contact rules, then contact the promoter through its official website, app or verified social profile.

Do not reply directly with sensitive information until you have confirmed that the message came from the real promoter or agency.

What Freehub can do

Freehub can review and update listing information, but it does not choose winners or confirm private prize claims on behalf of promoters.

If a Freehub listing appears suspicious or outdated, report it so the page can be checked.
